چکیده

In this paper, discrete-time Model-Based Networked Control Systems (MB-NCS) are studied. A lifting process is applied to the original MB-NCS configuration resulting in a Linear Time-Invariant (LTI) system. Necessary and sufficient conditions are given for the asymptotic stability of the system with instantaneous feedback in terms of h, the periodic update constant, and in terms of h and τ for the intermittent feedback case, where τ is the time interval in which the loop remains closed. The lifting process is also applied to a more general MB-NCS configuration in which the controller is connected to the actuator and plant by means of the digital communication network resulting in a multirate system; now, the controller is updated every nT time units while the plant is updated every mT time units, similarly, necessary and sufficient conditions for asymptotic stability are given in terms of the parameters n and m.

Time Delay and Data Dropout Compensation in Networked Control Systems Using Extended Kalman Filter

In networked control systems, time delay and data dropout can degrade the performance of the control system and even destabilize the system. In the present paper, the Extended Kalman filter is employed to compensate the effects of time delay and data dropout in feedforward and feedback paths of networked control systems. In the proposed method, the extended Kalman filter is used as an observer ...

Markovian Delay Prediction-Based Control of Networked Systems

A new Markov-based method for real time prediction of network transmission time delays is introduced. The method considers a Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) neural model for the transmission network, where the number of neurons in the input layer is minimized so that the required calculations are reduced and the method can be implemented in the real-time. For this purpose, the Markov process order...

Modelling and Compensation of uncertain time-delays in networked control systems with plant uncertainty using an Improved RMPC Method

Control systems with digital communication between sensors, controllers and actuators are called as Networked Control Systems (NCSs). In general, NCSs encounter with some problems such as packet dropouts and network induced delays. When plant uncertainty is added to the aforementioned problems, the design of the robust controller that is able to guarantee the stability, becomes more complex. In...

A simple state feedback controller design method of networked control systems with time delay and packet dropout ?

This paper presents a simple yet effective method to design state feedback controller for networked control systems (NCSs). By introducing the lifting technique into NCSs and by considering the balance between effectiveness and simplicity, a novel discrete-time switch model is proposed with the consideration of time delay and packet dropout during the transmission of packets. In terms of the gi...

Feedback and Feedforward Tracking Control for Networked Control Systems

Abstract— In this paper, we investigate the feedback and feedforward tracking control problem for networked control systems under the discrete-time framework. The network-induced delays both on the network links from sampler to the controller and from the controller to the actuator are considered. By studying the network property, we assume that there is a probability for the occurrence of each...
